Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Suzanne Holston is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and management of the accounting and business functions of the company. She also provides strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team. In addition to maintaining the financial model and budgets, she analyzes cash flow, cost controls, financial statements, project profitability, and expenses to guide business leaders in decision making.
Suzanne joined Thompson Engineering as Controller in 2011. Previously, she was the regional controller for Dairy Fresh of Alabama, a milk manufacturer with annual sales in excess of $250 million. She also has 13 years of public accounting experience with a concentration in audits and reviews. In prior positions, Suzanne successfully worked with the executive management team to navigate three separate owner buyouts. She has business experience in different industries including manufacturing companies, construction contractors, non-profits, and financial institutions.
Suzanne earned an Accounting degree with Honors from the University of Alabama in 1990 and is now a Certified Public Accountant. She also holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant certification.
Suzanne is a member of several professional and civic groups including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the UMS-Wright Parents Association, United Cerebral Palsy of Mobile, and Goodwill Easterseals Gulf Coast.
