Jay Davison Named MACE Civil Engineer of the Year

Mobile, Ala. — Thompson Engineering is proud to announce that Jay Davison has been named the Civil Engineer of the Year by the Mobile Area Council of Engineers (MACE). Jay serves as Thompson Engineering’s CEI Alabama Division Leader. He is currently providing advisory services on the West Alabama Highway Project for the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).
The MACE Awards recognize outstanding engineers whose work and leadership strengthen both the profession and the community. Selection is based on notable professional achievements and responsibilities along with civic involvement and impact on the field. This tradition has existed since 1967 as a way to encourage excellence in the science and practice of engineering across the region.
In addition to honoring industry leaders, the annual awards banquet serves as a fundraiser for the MACE-Raburn Scholarship Fund. This fund provides scholarships to deserving engineering students at the University of South Alabama every year.
