Poarch Creek Indian Water Distribution System

When the Poarch Creek Indians decided to build the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel complex in Atmore, Alabama, they needed a water distribution system with increased capacity to handle the additional visitors.

The project included the design of the site work, geotechnical investigation and foundation design; hydraulic modeling of a future system; and the design of the corrosion protection system to include the painting of the tank and the application of exterior logos and lettering. The electrical design included provisions for future a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, interior lighting in the dry area of the tank, exterior display lighting and yard lighting. Thompson Engineering also provided bidding assistance, construction administration, paint inspection, and closeout.
